Intra-Articular Injections

Ostenil- (20 mg / 2ml syringe)- Depending on the size of the joint inject 2ml or less of OSTENIL® into the joint cavity once a week for 3 to 5 injections. Several joints may be treated at the same time. The beneficial effects of a treatment cycle of five intra-articular injections may last for several months depending on the severity of the joint changes. Repeated treatment cycles may be administered as required.

Ostenil Mini- (10 mg / 1ml syringe)- OSTENIL® MINI is identical to the standard version of OSTENIL®, but contains a lower amount of 10mg / 1.0ml sodium hyaluronate, ideal for treatment of the small joints. OSTENIL® MINI is usually given as a course of 3 injections over a period of 3 weeks. Please consult your clinician.

Ostenil Plus- (40 mg / 2ml syringe 40 mg)- OSTENIL® PLUS, like the standard version of OSTENIL®, is an isotonic solution of highly purified sodium hyaluronate (or hyaluronic acid) developed specifically for the treatment of osteoarthritis. The novel formulation of OSTENIL® PLUS utilises the combination of high concentration of sodium hyaluronate + mannitol. This formulation offers the option to reduce the number of SH injections to only one injection per treatment cycle. Inject OSTENIL® PLUS into the affected joint. Several joints may be treated at the same time. Repeat treatment cycles may be administered as required. In case of joint effusion it is advisable to reduce the effusion by aspiration, rest, application of an ice pack and/or intra-articular corticosteroid injection. Treatment with OSTENIL® PLUS can be started two to three days later.

Ostenil Tendon- (40 mg / 2ml syringe-)Used for the treatment of pain and reduced mobility due to tendon disorders, supporting both tendon gliding and the regeneration process.
