Taping

Taping is a form of strapping.

It helps to reduce pain and aids in recovery especially overuse injuries. Our therapists at ICU Physiotherapy uses taping helps to support the ligaments and capsules of the unstable joints by helping to prevent excessive and abnormal anatomical movements. Taping also helps to enhance proprioceptive feedback from the limb or the joint. Taping also helps to support injuries at musculo-tendinous junction by compressing and limiting movement.

Taping has been found to be very beneficial for musculoskeletal conditions like ankle sprain, shoulder injuries, wrist injuries and patello-femoral dysfunction.
